GTD Outlook Add-In version 2.1 is not compatible with Outlook 12 (2007).
Thank you for your patience while we review Outlook 12 and our software. We have completed the testing of our add-in version 2.1.35 with the OL 12 BETA release and below are our initial findings. We are excited to announce that the next version of the add-in, in development now, will include compatibility with Outlook 2007.
Some of the Incompatibilities include:
- GTD will install only if GTD is installed in OL 2000/2002/2003 and upgraded to OL 12. In other words, unable to Install GTD in OL12 directly.
- GTD toolbar is not displayed when plain text email is opened in OL12.
- Notes Icon is not displayed when notes are added to a message.
- Calendar is not displayed when deferring an Item to a date.
- CTRL+ALT+X deletes the items without any warning.
- CTRL+ALT+N does not launch notes.
- In "Add to Action list" dialogue, user is unable to cancel the dialogue when user enters new action or project and clicks cancel instead of adding new action or project items.
- Unable to click someday after opening the email.
- Unable to click on notes after opening the email.
If you are currently running Outlook 12 and GTD and are having difficulty, you can (1) revert to the supported versions of Outlook or (2) turn 'off' GTD Outlook Add-In.
If you are interested in turning off our add-in please follow these instructions:
- Close Outlook
- Open the Getting Things Done Outlook Add-In by opening Start | Programs | Getting Things Done | Admin Tool.
- Uncheck the Load GTD on Start Up
- Click OK.
